SAFEGRAM

Workshop Product/Service/System design for Interior/Safety/Fashion/Emergency

Cover image for Safegram - Locandina del workshop.

The project was created in collaboration with the Serafico Institute of Assisi, a non-profit ecclesiastical body that offers rehabilitative and socio-health assistance to children and young adults with physical, mental, and sensory disabilities. Two challenges were addressed: 1. Brief A: design of Safegram, a modular and customizable inflatable cockpit inspired by the tangram, designed to offer protection and sensory stimulation during the rest of neurodivergent people. 2. Brief B: development of a unisex outfit (shirt and trousers) and an ergonomic gorget, designed to ensure safety, ease of use, and sensory comfort in cases of epilepsy, autism, or self-harming behaviors. Safegram is a modular system inspired by the tangram, designed to offer protection and sensory stimuli to fragile people. It combines technical functionality and emotional attention, promoting safety, identity, and autonomy through inclusive and responsible design.
